Lanny Pollet - flutes and recorders
Denis Donnelly - Irish harp and guitar

For twenty-one years, on New Year's Day, Lanny and Denis have been performing music from the traditions of many countries including Ireland, Scotland, Japan and others in a quiet, contemplative atmosphere.

Many people have made it a tradition to come and sit quietly considering years past and those to come, all to the background of beautiful acoustic music. In this time of the pandemic we all share, this meditative moment is particularly fitting.

St Dunstan's Anglican Church (Gordon Head) is presenting a videoed performance of this year's Musical Meditation on New Year's Day, available via the parish website at https://www.stdunstansvictoria.ca/blog from 2pm on 1 January and any time after that.

Lanny Pollet formerly taught flute at the School of Music, University of Victoria, and Denis Donnelly is a well-known conductor and choral clinician, now director of Wavelengths Community Choir and Soundings Vocal Ensemble.
