Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone’s welcome. It runs in cafés, churches, universities, homes—you name it. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: food, a talk and good conversation. Email Jeremy if you'd like to know more. You can also watch a trailer here.
We have a series of concerts which we run at the church, with music ranging from a cappella jazz to Syrian folk, to German lieder, and some non-musical artistic events too. Have a look at the Events section of the site to see what's coming up, or email us to be added to the concerts mailing list (you won't be added to the main church mailing list).
In addition to Sunday School groups (described here), there are a number of opportunities for children and young people on site. Our 'internal' groups such as Todder Time (carers and toddlers play group) are undergoing review at the moment, so we would be delighted to hear from you what needs you think we may be able to fill.
Other groups on site who serve young families include:
Childcare and Junior Kindergarten: Christ Church Cathedral School runs a Junior Kindergarten at St Dunstan’s. More information available here.
Kids Klub after school care: Every weekday afternoon. More information available here.
A chance to enjoy tea, goodies, chat and laughter - oh yes, and occasioanlly do some craft together! Craft group meets in the foyer of the main church; step-free access is available round the side of the church building.
We have one bible study group, which meets on alternate Wednesday mornings, in a home nearby. We would love to start an evening group too, as soon as there are enough people interested. Currently, we're studying the book of Ephesians.
Please email Jeremy if you're interested in joining.
