St Dunstan’s is fundraising to support PWRDF partner St. Jude Family Projects in Uganda.

from the PWRDF website: St. Jude’s promotes sustainable agriculture training with a focus on women, children and youth. People come from Africa and other parts of the world to learn about organic farming, food security, income generation, environmental management, tree planting, water harvesting and soil fertilization.

The founder of the organization, Josephine Kizza Aliddeki, believes in a holistic approach and teaches that all living things are connected and need to be preserved. Since 1997, St. Jude Family Projects has trained, closely monitored and transformed more than 186,000 farmers. PWRDF supports St. Jude’s and the community by improving food security, increasing income through farm entrepreneurship and teaching agricultural conservation techniques to cope with climate change.

To Support St Jude’s, we’re climbing Mt. Ngaliema!

The Climb:

Between us, we need to climb 2300 flights of stairs (= Township Coffee to the Upper Parking Lot, or equivalent). There's no deadline, we'll just keep climbing until we reach our goal!

To commit to climbing some of the mountain, fill in this form  (trouble accessing the form? Just send an email, stating how many flights you’ll climb)

You can also use the sponsorship form linked below, to collect donations from friends and family.

When you’ve completed your climb, fill in this form to let us know how far you got, and what additional funds you raised directly, if you used the sponsorship form below, or send an email, stating how many flights you climbed, and any money you raised directly

Do film yourself doing some of your ‘climb’ and send it to Jez — it would be great fun to make a little vid!

Please Support Financially:

To commit to sponsoring our climbers to raise money, fill in this form or send an email stating a total amount, or amount-per-flight. When you’re ready to pay, you can:

  • use cheques/envelopes in the usual way (designated to PWRDF: St Judes)
  • give online, using tithe.ly (also available via the front page of the website — click ‘One-off Giving’ and select  ‘PWRDF' instead of 'General Fund’)
