At the suggestion of a parish, the Anglican eStore is introducing Christmas cards this year, where proceeds will go toward supporting ministries in the Council of the North.

The 12 Nativity option features a photo of Joseph, Mary and the baby Jesus figurines, against a backdrop of varying light. On the inside, the card reads:

May the song of the angels ring out for you this Christmas and throughout the New Year.

“And the shepherds came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger.” (Luke 2:16)

The 12 Winter Church option features a photo of winter scene of the St. Peter’s Shared Ministry in Hudson’s Hope, British Columbia (Diocese of Caledonia). On the inside, the card reads:

Thinking warmly of you and wishing you an extra measure of comfort, joy and hope this Christmas.

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:11)

Each set of 12 cards is printed on recycled paper, and comes with with 13 envelopes, wrapped in a paper band (instead of excess packaging, such as a disposable box). The cards and envelopes are fully recyclable.
